VISION

The vision of the proposed Stella Maris University is to be a world-class university providing students with comprehensive programmes filled with problem-solving content providing the highest quality education in theology, science, and technology so that the graduate can enhance him or herself and  society.
Thus, the University will take advantage of the great advances in pedagogical and didactic methods to

• Foster new ways of organizing academic studies to open greater participation for both ecclesiastical and lay students;
• Encourage closer connection and dialogue between the arts and sciences;
• Discern and evaluate both the conditions of and contradictions among modern cultures to make students more suited to the total development of the individual and society; and
• Relate human affairs as a “single living synthesis.”

Mission Statement

The mission of Stella Maris University is to pursue academic excellence in offering academic programmes in scientific, technological, vocational, and theological disciplines to matriculate academically integrated and competitive graduates.
The proposed university also seeks to promote and encourage research as well as the development of expert knowledge in technological and social disciplines and its implications for the full and integral development of the individual and the society.  To this end, the university will offer access to all those who are able and capable of benefiting from the opportunities offered at our facilities especially to those under-privileged and under-represented in society.  Thus, each individual will be provided the opportunity for full and functional development of his/her potential and capacity.
